On Thursday 8 July, we welcomed members and their guests to a virtual Gin Tasting Evening, hosted by the www.littleginandrumco.com.  I for one, was ready for a pick-me-up after a day back in The City and from the look on the faces of all concerned, I was not alone!  

 

Their expert, Abigail Beddin, skilfully guided us through 4 different Gins & accompanying Mixer combinations, as well as dipping into the history of these reinvented 21st Century combinations.  It was especially good to see that members from abroad were also able to take part - albeit with their own local supermarket G&T varieties!

The tasting and occasion was very much enjoyed by everyone who attended, and the “gin fuelled” conversation carried on long after Abigail had to leave us!

 

All being well, we shall soon be able to meet up again in person and get our networking engine purring.  As the AirSP Monte Carlo RDV has been cancelled for the second year running, we have decided to replace our traditional flagship Monte Carlo dinner at the Quai Des Artistes, with our “Not The Monte Carlo Rendezvous Party” on 9 September – our AGM, which will be followed by a Wine Tasting evening at The Wine Library (details can be found on the website) - I do hope to see you there.

 

Meanwhile, the abiding Gin Tasting memory is one of Happy Smiling Faces!
