AirSPitality Wine & Cheese Tasting Evening

8 April 2021

Despite being held virtually, the AirSP Wine & Cheese Tasting Evening proved to be a fantastic event – in fact, tickets were sold out! With such a success, we shall surely want to repeat the format when planning further events in the “new normal”.

Our sommelier, Tom Martin from The Wine Library, London, gently guided us through the five superb wines he had selected especially for our event; having arranged delivery to each attendee, along with accompanying tasting notes.

The wines were accompanied by a selection of cheeses, skilfully paired to each wine (and delivered) by Jenni Pettitt from Crossroads Stores, West Horsley. Sadly, Jenni was unable to join us on the evening, but “Able Cheeseman” Stephen Carter (Carter Perry Bailey LLP and an AirSP Board Member) stepped into Jenni’s shoes, took the helm and masterfully navigated us through the cheese courses! Special thanks to Stephen and Carter Perry Bailey for sponsoring the cheeses.

The evening was filled with good humour and conviviality - even Captain Jack (the Chairman’s cat)
participated, despite seemingly highly suspicious that the “mouse” had other plans for the cheese!
I think it would be fair to say that the evening was immensely enjoyed by all.
