David Brackenbury Associates Limited

David has been working in the Lloyd’s and London Insurance Market since 1980. A Broker for 26 years, David set up David Brackenbury Associates in 2006; a consultancy that brings experts in loss adjusting, forensic accounting, audit, compliance and investigative services from around the world to the Lloyd’s, London and European insurance marketplace.

A sailor since the age of two, David has spent much of his life at sea. He sailed round the world from 1983–86 and cruised extensively in Europe before this. David served in London Division Royal Naval Reserve from 1982–1995.

David maintains a great interest in the Fine Art and Jewellery world and held a number of roles in insurance broking; being Specie Claims Director at JLT and later HSBC Insurance Brokers before taking up his consultancy role.

David is a Practicing Associate of the Academy of Experts. David He has been involved throughout his career with the negotiation, adjustment and settlement of losses in the Lloyd’s, London and international insurance and reinsurance markets and is a regular speaker at Lloyd’s and other London Market events. He also has experience in the UK political area as a Councillor and as a former Parliamentary Candidate.
